Opera has released Opera Mini 5 beta. For the first sight at the opera mini official site, I was stunned. It really supported touch screen mobile phone, one of them is Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. Some of their new main features are:

1. New Beautiful and Interesting User Interface

Some of us feels uncomfortable with the previous version of Opera Mini that feels so rigid. Now in this version, Opera Mini featuring us with more beautiful and interesting User Interface. That is one of causing improve our mood when we on-line with mobile gadget. Another thing, the scrolling effect is smoother than the previous version.

2. Speed Dial

The graphics of Speed Dial in this version of Opera Mini is more interesting. The previous version was text based. It was so difficult to touch the speed dial with our thumb or finger. Another way, we had to take the stylus. With new speed dials, It is easy for us to touch them.

3. Bookmarks

Look at the screenshot, the management of bookmarks is more tidy. With stripped background, make easier user to read the bookmarks. The text is big enough to touch.

4. Tabs

This is the most feature that we waiting for. In the previous version of Opera Mini, we just can open a page. Now, we can open more pages simultaneously. We can open facebook, read news, open email, and tweeting in the same time.

5. In-line keytouch

Opera Mini 5 featured us with in-line keytouch that make us easy to input text. But this in-line keytouch is smaller than the built-in keytouch of Nokia 5800. This feature can be non-activated in the setting, so we still can use the built-in keytouch of Nokia 5800. Another weakness of the in-line keytouch is it can’t provide line breaker (enter), so it couldn’t make changed line text.

6. Password Manager

Opera Mini 5, also featured with Password Manager. So we not fussed typing username and password again when we want to login page next time.

Previously, I do prefer choose browsing with built-in browser Nokia 5800, but now all the features of Nokia 5800 browser has been featured in Opera Mini 5 beta. One of another fact was, Opera mini cost less bandwidth than Nokia 5800 built-in browser. Opera Mini now has been changed drastic from previous versions. Many bug has been fixed. Now I choose Opera Mini 5 (beta) for browsing, except for open youtube (video) and flash, because Opera Mini still didn’t supported. I hope the full version of Opera Mini next would fulfill the needs of market.
