How to Play Guitar Hero on Nintendo DS without Guitar Grip

If we buy the original version of Guitar Hero on Tour, we will a expansion gear pluged in the bottom port of NDS - the guitar grip. But if we download the ROM from ROM sites how could we get the guitar grip? This game don’t allowed us to play without the guitar grip. But don’t worry, i got some trick to play itu without guitar grip, just for ‘try before buy‘. Please note to buy the original version, the experience of playing game was different.

How to hack the .nds files

Download the tool for patch the file here (dslazy.zip | arm9.bin). You will find 2 files dslazy.zip and arm9.bin. But don’t expect the .nds file included too. Please find by your own risk on random ROM sites existing.

Extrack dslazy.zip, then execute dslazy.exe

After that, open the .nds file by pressing the open button ( labeled ‘…’ ). And unpack .nds file by pressing ‘nds unpack‘.

You will get the unpacked files from .nds. Replace the arm9.bin file with the new one you’ve downloaded. Then repack these files into file .ndes by pressing button ‘nds packer‘. Then save it.

Now you can load it into your R4. Then play itu without guitar grip. Unfortunatelly, playing without guitar grip more difficult. So I recommend you to buy the original version and play it with the guitar grip. It just for ‘try before buy‘.
